About Me

Monique Harrison, Ed.S., is an award-winning instructional leader, secondary mathematics specialist, and founder of Harrison Educational Consulting Group, LLC. With over 3 decades experience in K–12 education—as a teacher, principal, and program specialist—Monique is known for her work in culturally responsive leadership, professional learning design, and equitable mathematics instruction. She has served students and educators across public, charter, and private school systems, and currently supports district-wide implementation of mathematics frameworks and instructional coaching grounded in equity and student-centered learning.

Monique’s commitment to education is deeply personal. Raised by powerful women who instilled in her the value of knowledge, purpose, and service, she credits her grandmother and mother for shaping her core beliefs. Those early lessons drive her passion for developing brave spaces where educators feel empowered to reflect, grow, and lead. She often reminds others that her spirit animal is the elephant—a symbol of wisdom, strength, and community—which mirrors her presence as a leader who remembers the past while clearing paths for others.

Through Harrison Educational Consulting Group, Monique helps schools and organizations disrupt inequitable systems and build transformative cultures rooted in justice, collaboration, and sustainable change. Her signature offerings—like the “Dare, Know, Give” Leadership Series and the QUEEN Workshop—combine deep expertise with authentic coaching to help leaders and educators thrive. Monique believes that when we lead with heart, knowledge, and boldness, we not only change classrooms—we change futures.
